Insurance company is sending the documents by special delivery for tomorrow, it will be sent direct to the garage and will be with them between 9 and 1pm - Good news there.

Also, with a name switch on our insurance, misses down as main driver and me as 2nd driver, the GTi insurance for us is £198 for the year. Not too shabby.
Full no claims, driving 20 years, first company i tried £220 fully comp on my new gti mk6 due in aug, there are some perks to being 30 something. SIMON

£220 ? I highly doubt that unless you have something silly like a £800 excess. KEV

I'm 35 and have been driving almost 20 years with 13 years NCB and get £380-ish with I think £250 excess.KEV
THAT REMINDS ME OF A CONVERSATION WE HAD    NOW SAY SORRY SIMON FOR BEING SUCH A DOUBTING THOMAS(KEV)

That money bloke Martin Lewis had some advice on insurane the other week,
He said, goto in this order
1) comparison sites. Money Supermarket, GoCompare, and confused.com to maximise quotes in min time.
2) Then see if you can get money back on the cheapest quotes by buying it through special cashback websites. See www.moneysavingexpert.com/carinsurance for step by step guide.
He gives an example were someone got £70 cashback from insurance company and a further £50 from a cashback site.

That sounds like a complicated situation (if i understand it correctly).

My car is fleet and had a turnaround of about 2 weeks... which will probably peeev a few on here who have been waiting for months, but it seems like fleet do get a priority :lipsrsealed:

To be honest simon, ever since I joined here I've had people doubt everything I've said, including when and even if I was ordering a GTi. Doubting what me and misses now pay for insurance is a walk in the park compared to the pish I've had to endure. If it makes you happier, I just made up the whole thing, it wasnt £198. It was, erm, i dono, lets say £450. Better now ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.
