Not sure about your UK spec... Well look at the left side in your boot, if there is a clip and a strap and no red plastic case, then you should ask for it. But if there is nothing at either sides, then perhaps UK spec does not include a hazard triangle but its compulsory for it in continental Europe though...

The tight-fisted VWUK does not deem the Golf to be adequately pricey enough to include a cheap-ass warning triangle. So we have to pay extra and buy it ourselves.  :angry:

Believe us it was not out of choice, the cars simply had not been built yet, irrespective of options.  Yours is defo a record, vast majority here have had to wait 6-8 weeks and sometimes much more.

Re options, mine is my personal car that I'll keep for at least 3yrs so I want some toys. I know not all options hold value, but compared to the depreciation of the basic car, its nothing over 3 yrs.

Car now had its PDI done and is fine. Faxed insurance documents to the dealer this morning but they now have came back and said they cant accept a copy and need an original !! Thats gonna set me back a few days ?

scan it in and email it stating its an original,

or get insurance to email them one

Can't you just use this 7 day insurance offerred by VW?
