mk6'ers not calling it a mk6.5

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

You mean a MK5.5.2
MKV GTI | Reflex Silver | 5-dr | Anthracite 17" | Manual | Highline MFD | Cruise | Revision 'D' DV | Dirty Pipes |

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

acc standard, xenons standard etc, this is VW do you think you'll get them on the mk7 for the same price as a mk6 ? Yeah they may come standard but you'll pay a premium for them.

Sounds like you guys should have just bought a Mk5, will you ever stop moaning?

As for the flat bottomed wheel, never met anyone who didn't think that was a nice little touch. Until this thread was started.

Get out there and drive your cars for god sake instead of moaning about something you can only of had for about 2 or 3 months so far.

I like it, for me thats a must keep.  Just another little touch that sets it apart from the cooking models.

Agree on this one

+1

I'd rather have a properly round wheel...but then it wouldn't give people the option to put 'FBMFSW' in their internet signature...

It's all fashion anyway...a round wheel is nicer to use for hard driving...seems good enough for some of the worlds best drivers cars, so why not a Golf GTI?

Pity it wasn't an option to have a round steering wheel.
That would be a good Mk7 option (preferably no cost) - a round one instead of the silly flat bottomed one.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I've just read the first reviews of the Mazda 3 MPS. Fair enough, they say it's a bit crude and not as good as the Mk 6 to drive and to be in but have you seen the kit list as standard? Xenons, sat nav, 18 inch alloys etc. etc. All for £21 500 which will no doubt be discounted before long.
So suggestions for the Mk 7 - MAKE IT CHEAPER or at least make some of the above standard or a lot of people will be off to Mazda. I think I could handle a bit of crudity for those nice bits of kit and £3000 in my pocket. Put those things on a Golf and it's £5000 difference.
