is it a broken wire in you engine bay loom

i had a really silly little fault every now and again when the mrs was driving it and i thought it was her

till it did it on me !!! checked every thing then i got another loom to try and it worked perfectly  :wink:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

DH, the list I put up earlier more or less captures it, although today I replaced the 1metre pipe from the plenum to the ECU. Danny mentioned the knock sensor. I have not replaced that yet.

Blue sensor.
ECU.
ECU chips for various ones.
MAF sensor.
Throttle body.
Lambda probe.
Lambda relay.

Did it improve after fitting the lambda sensor temporarily?
My old Audi 100 did this, then it went back to what it was doing before.
The problem was the reverse of yours, it held back over 4200 rpm.
Another suggestion, does it rev cleanly when not under load?
You could stick a timing light on it to make sure the timing is advancing, could show up a knackered knock sensor?
