..........got these on mine & ''yes'' great price but in test's have come out a lot better than some of the most expensive tyres in test.Get my vote & also have a    tread pattern (sad i know) .

Yes, a nice tread pattern, but is it true they are not sided, so the tread on the l/h wheels goes opposite to the r/h wheels? This would ruin the effect,surely.

I've replace my Bridgestones with Goodyear Assymetrics. The treadwear rating on the side is 240, compared with 140 on the Bridges. I'm hoping they will last nearly twice as long making them effectively cheaper than a budget tyre.

.........you'r correct about the tread it is opposite but this is how they have been designed & how they are ment to be fitted.

If your trying to save money, dont do it on the tyres. It really isnt worth buying cheaper craper tyres. They are the only point of contact on the road, pay decent money and get proper ones and save money elsewhere.

....I was going to post exactly the same. The area of contact is only the size of a CD on each tyre.

I currently run Goodyear F1 Assymetrics - Best tyre yet. I do about 20k a year and change pairs of tyres when close to 2 mm - Always move rears to front and fit new rubber on rear axle. Don't ask me what mileage I get from a tyre - I don't bother to record it.

....Hopefully you've got all 4 on Assyms - The ESP tends to hiccup when faced with a mixture of directional and assymetric tyres. I've had long conversations with Goodyear Technical about it (excellent support and totally opposite to Vredestein!). The tyre wall stiffnesses differ which then can fool the ESP system into thinking it needs to come to your aid. First time it happened to me it was in a very fast sweeping bend on a B-road and I thought my front brakes were snatching hard without being applied at all - Very scary!!

If you get the problem you'll just have to drive through it until you can buy the other 2 assym tyres. I had Goodyear F1 directionals mixed at first.

The F1 Assyms are great in both the dry and the wet but mine are aided by having a Quaife diff. I wouldn't run them any less than a fraction under 3mm tread.

Thanks for the heads up. I upgraded my wheels so got new rubber all round

I let my GSDs get to an embarrassing low level so its almost like having my old car back now that she can actually pull away without spinning lol

Was that for all four?  I wore the pair of ShyteMaxxes on the front axle in 8k miles - and that was with SWMBO using it as her daily!
