This would ruin the effect,surely.I've replace my Bridgestones with Goodyear Assymetrics. The treadwear rating on the side is 240, compared with 140 on the Bridges. I'm hoping they will last nearly twice as long making them effectively cheaper than a budget tyre.
If your trying to save money, dont do it on the tyres. It really isnt worth buying cheaper craper tyres. They are the only point of contact on the road, pay decent money and get proper ones and save money elsewhere.
