I saw a car with LED DRLs yesterday, in a sort of wave pattern, and I thought they were moderately horrible.

I could probably get used to them though.

DRL will be required by law on all new cars as of 2010 or something like that, cant remember the exact year.

Interesting how the Frankfurt show car has blackened front Xennons compared to a normal GTi Xennons.....

No - the drl's are only at the front. They go off when you switch the f/r side lights on. Unless  you are in Sweden - I think the rear lights come on too over there.

Cars like the Prius  should have a loud hailer as well as the DLRs.
To alert people to the Prius when silent running on batteries it could broadcast a peel of church bells.

Why would DRL's cause accidents ?

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

They did this with the MK5 aswell. Look at MK5s lights and then look at a MK5 GTI lights and you can see the GTI has the black ones and the normal MK5 has silver ones. Same with the MK4 and the MK4 anni.
