Finance example?
« on: 28 July 2009, 08:24 »
Hi Guys,

I'm considering a mk6, does anyone have any examples (or rough ideas) on the likely cost per month if you put down around £5k and bought it on PCP, I would probably be looking at a 3 door dsg approx £25k with a couple of extras.

Just trying to get an idea of likely monthly cost,

Thanks,

R

I got about £415 per mth for a £25k car with £3.5k deposit over 3 yrs with £11.5k balloon.

As you're putting down a larger deposit, I'd expect a lower mth'ly payment.

This is from a vw dealer.

Check out various websites (just google for it) and they can offer instant rough quotes.

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

Thanks, That gives me an idea, found a site called http://www.car-finance.net that seems to do quite competitive offers with a 10% discount on the initial price of the car which you can have supplied from a main dealer, looks like a possibility,

Cheers,

http://www.volkswagen.co.uk allow you to do finance options on their site. they offer 7.6% APR on their solutions PCP.
In fact I went to my local VW garage for a quote and was told the best he could get me was a figure £50 a month over what I could afford. I then pulled out my printed off solutions quote from VW and suddenly the salesman could find the same offer!!!! Amazing.

Now I think about it though I don't think this offer relates to GTi / GTD sorry  Although you could select one of the GT models and add extras to get the price up to 25k to show you how much that would work out at.

Whatever deal you decide on make it quick, price rise on the 1st Sept. So basically only 4 weeks to go.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Genuis Strategy in the current climate!

Thanks everyone for answers so far, 5% is bloody good, was your down payment significant? Its strange it varies so much,
