forgot to post the pic of what my boot now looks like

I also just filled up with super unleaded and the car feels loads smoother and better throughout the revs

Afer a qucik visit to work for 2 hours this was the result. Still not finished my boot install and I've got different ideas floating round in my head about what sub setup I should go for. Thinking about having 2 10in now mounted arseout pointing into the middle of the boot. Anyways, I managed to completely make the n/s side panel and cut the big peice for the o/s. Just left to cut the fiddley bits that fill the gaps and cover them with sexy carpet.

Here's also some pics of my new headunit

and sexy Jojo on the screen

2nd April 2005

Last week I finally covered the false floor and side panels I made a few weeks back. Totaly I covered the little bit of white that the boot latch bolts to. looks a load better now. I also shortened my aerial as it wasn't picking up radio 1 or any of the other decent stations (only R2, R3 and R4). Now it's shortened I can receive more stations than I can save lol. Even getting BBC Bristol and I'm in Cardiff!

For some reason I've developped a seriously annoying wine that's picking up on the engine RPM as it changes tone throughout the revs. Going to pull the boot apart tomorrow as long as it's not raining to see if I can see anything obvious making this happen.

Here's a pic of what my boot currently looks like.

Down to work again on a sunday! The plan was to find out why I had this wine through my speakers and carpet my box. Turned out the hideaway box for my headunit was to fault. I'll be returning that tomorrow! Lucky we have a spare one doing nothing. Also popped in a better box than mine as it's closer to JL's recommended box size. I think it sounds slightly better than before.

also started work on my 2nd attempt at 17cm door pods. I screwed the MDF to the original pocket and now I need to cover the edges with fibreglass to smooth it alll out. Already the sound is better in the front of the car

Got some free wiper blades from the garage next door to work. Fitted then friday night. Good job too. It's been pissing down all day today. I hadden't changed the previous set in over 3 years! The new ones are Champion ones and work awesomely clearing all the tiny little drops out the way on first sweap leaving the screen clear and practically dry! I suppose cleaning the entire outside of it to get rid of all the flies who'd died on impact helped a lot.

Haven't done anything else over the weekend. Got Marc from work to wire up my clifford to act as a turbo timer earlier in the week. means I can leave it running for a set time after I've left the car for the turbo to cool down. I get weird looks off people now when I leave it running in the middle of the street.

here's a pointless pic of my engine. resonabley clean for once! new air filter will be ordered as soon as I get paid in a week

Used all my new Autoglym products on the trim of the car and the rear 3 windows. Looking very good now.

Recently this week my central locking had been locking the car fine, but not unlocking. seeing as I have no key holes on my doors this was annoying me a lot having to get in through the passenger side so I popped down to work and pulled the door apart.

Replaced the door motor with another one I had spare and it seems to be alright so far. While i had the door card off I covered 90% of the outer skin with Dynamat Extreme. I double layed a 6in square peice behind the speaker and did a small area of the inner skin with a small peice I had left over. I would of done both doors, but I didn't want to open any new boxes. Just using up the little bits we had lying around. Here's a not very interesting pic.

Then washed and polished her and popped along to the local Elite 1k meet just up the road.

My Audi flip key arrived this morning so in my lunch hour I trimmed down the original key and fitted it in the flipper
Here's the pics. Working sweetly.

ARGH! It's not all mods that happen to my car. Last night I pressed the brake pedal hard and it went to the floor. oh dear. Got ben to pump it while I looked round and it's pissing out of one of the front hoses. A bit like your garden hose when you get a tiny nick it in. I'm suspecting it was because the hose was twisted when a certain company installed them.

How where am I going to get another hose on a bank holiday?
