Lights work wickedly. so much brighter on both dipped and mainbeam. I shall be making up some looms if the demand is there.

On the way home from the Newport ClubGTi monthly meet had a little play with a mk3 2.0 16v running 180bhp. I'd sped off after hitting the motorway so I slowed to 55 to let the others catch up. the mk3 flew past so I dropped to 3rd and gave chase. pulled cleanly past him doing about 110. I recon I must be running about 220bhp now. the top end speed is just amazing now. it's so quick on the open road.

Also collected from Dubusiness a rear wheel arch to replace the lost one, a bonnet stay, boot mounted water bottle, a one-way valve and 2 headlight plugs to make another loom up.

I want to mount the water bottle in the boot and run it to the bonnet washers. then get rid of the washer bottle from under the bonnet to clean the look up. Will have to extend/rewire the loom aswell to get the pump to work. Then need a sealed battery to go in the boot.

Finally got round to fitting that rear arch I've been missing for months now. Tidied up the look 100%. Also picked up a CL rear glass peice in clear ready to swap over seeing as I've removed my spoiler anyway. looks good. Going to have that put in asap. needs a little clean and the webber carb sticker removed though. couldn't complain - it was free

Well I spent 3 weeks slowing making fibreglass box that sat behind the wheel arch in the boot so it didn't take up any bootspace. only trouble was it sounded really pants.

I managed to scrounge a old 10" MDF box from work and a new terminal peice to connect it all up so last night I moved my sub into the new box. it sounds 100 times better now in here. Now all I need is some 4 gauge wire to power my amp and the system will be improved loads.

I plan to make up some more door pods soon to house 17cm speakers instead of the 13cm ones I have in there now. Hopefully that'll give a nicer mid-range sound in the front.

Threw out everything that was in the boot apart from my oil, water, deicer, sub and amp. It now lives back in my bedroom. Also threw the fibreglass enclosure in the skip lol.

Decided I wanted to run my turbo properly so put it back to standard. then it was only running 5psi of boost which was really slow. had a little fiddle in the dark, but no good. Turbo manifolds burn when you touch them by mistake. doh.

Fiddled a bit more in the daylight. Lucky I had a pic on my pc of the wastegate so I adjusted it somewhere close to that. Now it's lag-free and smooth as ever. I'll miss having the huge burst at 5000 rpm though. Will have to wait to get a k04 on there later in the year.

Also popped some 100/80w bulbs into my headlights to see how they perform with the uprated loom. Have to wait a few hours to let you know the results!

Also started to polish my inlet manifold. Only did about a 3rd of the top of it, but it's getting there slowly.

*update*
The lights are bloody awesome! I only had them on dip and gareth asked if that was main beam lol. main beam is like daylight! The bulbs aren't even the phillips blue ones. only cheap things. but they're super bright now. can't wait to drive down a lane lol

God. We're in march already! Well I fixed the boost hose the other day so that's running fine again. Since washing it on sunday it hasn't moved more than 20 miles!

My white led sidelights and white led interior bulbs arrived like a month after I ordered them lol. Fitted them in about 2 mins. see pic below

My work has 2 Polk Momo amps they want rid of. thinking about getting them for a test. might be able to 'borrow' them for the shows

Install a 0 gauge voodoo amp wiring it that runs from the battery to a dizzy block and then onto the amps with 4 gauge. also earthed as 4 gauge everywhere. I used 0 gauge as it should keep the overall power up over the biggest distance.

The kit included about 10 metres of 0 gauge, 5 metres of 8 gauge, a dizzy block with 0/4 gauge in and 3x 4/8 gauge out. all fused. a nice little fuse block with voltage readout too. and some RCA leads. Got it cheap at work.

also replaced the scrap wires that went from my amp to the sub box with lush new 10 gauge.

Blagged a lush new Kenwood KVT-725DVD-B from work. have to pay it back monthly though, but at least it's interest free and I got it cheaper than retail.

also swapped a 80gb HDD I had spare for a MTX 4244 4ch amp that's now running my front component speakers. they sound so much clearer than they did on my headunit.

tomorrow I might start to building my boot up as the massive mess of wires is comical. I'll take a pic asap.
