Yes, but the Golf3 is the best one to go for, as the engine loom is separate to the rest of the car loom.

It'll include everything you need, including the cable-change gearbox, which it would be sensible to fit.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Can you whack the full exhaust off the MK3 (mani > back) onto the MK2 ?

the toledos are ok donors loom wise you have to strip it out but the loom comes out easy.      cordobas however good engine donors  bit of a fail for the loom tho

i have the chance for a full seat cupra conversion.  im liking it as its got the gearbox, shift tower and clutch cable conversion.
i understand the looms are not separate, and the fusebox is on the passenger side. will this be easy to overcome?

depends on your skills, if you can read and understand circuit diagrams, think logicaly and not afraid or wirecutters its pritty straight forward.  if you get the fear when presented with the multicolured spagetti that is an unwraped loom it'll be nigh on inpossibe

pretty certain the fusebox is on the driver side in the cupra, unless it a left hooker./ the plugs are the same fusebox end, just have to rip the lighting loom out of it basically.  the way i make these is to get the ecu plug, unwrap the loom then put asside everything that isnt plugged into it or isnt obviously for engine (i.e. oil pressure sensors, dash temp gauge etc)
tip for you, while youre unwrappin the loom, put a pit of tape every 2 foot or so, so the loom retains the shape roughly.  otherwise it takes some headscratching to get it back together neatly!

once you have everything you think needs chopping seperate from main loom, confirm each wire from the fusebox faq then chop em out.  Best to have a mk2 engine loom to hand so you can see exactly what bits you need to keep, or even replace the ABF bits that differ with bits from the MK2 loom.  I combined a MK2 16v and ABF engine loom to make a factory MK2 ABF engine wiring loom :)

prittymuch what i do on pre 90.   fettel pre 90 plugs onto the abf loom.

20vt's get the same treatment  but have the ecu decoded sodon't have to bother with the clocks and crap, and an extra littel box added in to make the revcouter and other things work properly
