Oh it's a carbon fibre spike so it's light and as an added bonus it'll shatter into little shards on impact for maximum damage.

Strut brace fitted

Also took it for a run to see if the fan is cutting in and it is, strange. I fiddled with the cables before hand so that may have fixed it. Think I'm going to clean up all the connectors and then wire in an over-ride switch on the dash so I can just leave it running when required.

I've got an overide switch on mine and i usually turn it on for the cool down lap or as soon as I come off track. It takes a shed load of heat out of the engine bay before you turn the engine off.

Right all set for the Pod tomorrow. Polycarb windows are in (Cheers mark)! Will be interesting to see what times I get, even taken the passenger seat out, ha ha. Not gonna go mad and just do a best of three as I like my gearbox in one piece.

Famous last words! Remember last year.. I think I saw you after it happened.. My mate tore his driveshaft at the start line

So pissed to be missing out on tomorrow

there was a total weight saving of 6.5kg in the end, a little disappointing tbh. Nick's rear window is still glass so replacing that might get the saving closer to 10kg's

15.4157 was my best time today set in the morning. Tried running more advance but that resulted in pinking and an aborted run. Was a great day but I did £50 worth of petrol so a tad heavy on the wallet!

Did you stick to a best of 3?
