Well first track day done and dusted. The day was to be frank perfect. Started off soaking wet and chucking it down which meant we spent most of the morning exploring the car's and our own abilities in a slow and sliding manner. After lunch both me and my Dad went out with the instructor which was a real eye opener. After that the sun came out and the track gradually dried. With the knowledge from the instructor and the drying track we were both getting much quicker by the end of the day.

I'm now officially a Track Day addict and I'm already saving for my next fix! THe car was faultless all day and inspired confidence. It's the best £500 car I have ever bought, in fact it's probably the best £500 I have ever spent.

My Dad got some pics from the official photographers, given a couple of them a quick edit in photoshop and here they are for your pleasure.

Only made one proper mistake all day which was locking up and going straight on through one of the chicanes. My Dad did the same twice but neither of us spun or put it on the grass which was a result. Plenty of other went off though and the guy who organised the day stuffed his 928 backwards into the tyre wall coming out of Quarry, poor bloke. He'd been having trouble with the car all day and that was not the way to end up after finally getting it running right.

It was a great day and good to meet you.

It was definitely a day of two halves and I had fun in both of them!

Shame I spent most of it holding everyone up....
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Bet the TVR was scary in the rain. Was yours and DH's MK2's the only ones there?

Ha ha, not as much as me and my Dad in the early sessions. Glad we managed to hold our own against similar cars by the end of the day. Managed to keep pace with Paul's MKIII 16v and that Pug 306 GTi 6 which was a result.

There was one other. A red MKII with an ABF.
