Yeah they'll be going back on but I need to give the rear panel a lick of paint of first. It also needs a new bootlid with the correct black surround as well.

The tape was free, found it in the bottom of my tool box.

Just ordered myself an OMP "Fast".



£68 delivered from the official UK supplier of OMP parts. Not bad!

Also think I've sorted a pair of Cobra buckets on MKII subframes for £40. They're not the greatest buckets in the world but they're better and more supportive than the Rado seats.

Picked up the buckets tonight and they're pretty damn manky. Still for £30 I'm chuffed as the golf subframes have been welded to accept the cobra buckets which means it's an easy upgrade to a set of these in the future:



Subframes alone go for £50 plus so I'm well chuffed and can live with manky looking buckets for a while.

I'll get some pics up when I get them cleaned up a bit and in the car.

Buckets fitted, test drive, buckets removed, buckets to be taken to tip on saturday morning.

They were too high and less supportive in the corners than the Rado seats already in the car. Waste of £30 but could have been worse.

Gonna stick to the Rado seats for now and save up for a Monaco S for the drivers seat for next year.
