Bugger

Write up an advert on the bay, one of those silly ones where you diss the item so much it gets loads of attention and loads of bids

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I've put em up for sale for £15 if they can be collected by sat afternoon. If not I'll remove the better of the two subframes and take the rest up the tip. Serves me right for buying cheap really. £30 isn't a huge amount but to put it in perspective it's nearly a weeks worth of fuel for getting to work and back wwhich hurts as I'm proper skint at the moment having had £480 worth of vet bills in the last 6 weeks.

Well tomorrow is the big day, first track outing and the weather looks horrific. A bit gutted really but it's all good experience. Will be spending tonight sorting tools, packing the car with bits and pieces and giving it a once over to make sure it's all set for the off at 7am tomorrow morning.

Wish me luck!

What's your choice of tyres for the event?

Might be better off on the road tyres, if they're in good condition and it's moist.

Combe's proper fun in the wet..... in a Syncro.

Toyo R888's in medium on the Compos and Yokohamas on the TSWs although I can't remember which type but they're nothing that fancy.

If it's wet then keep the Yokos on.

If it's patchy you might get away with the R888s

Yeah that's what I was thinking. The yokos aren't bad but they're not exactly new, probably half worn. At least I've driven the car before and in the wet. My Dad's only ever sat in the passenger seat!!!!!!!!

I've got everything crossed that the forecast is at least partially wrong and we'll either get a dryish morning or afternoon. I'm not overly fussed about it being damp but if it's full on downpours all day I'll be a bit gutted.
