Aha, got in

as the other end is loose when I put the cable back in I felt it slipping forward, think i got it now, i'll put the new one on Monday! Got to take the damn dash of again aghhhhhhh

and it does stink that gear oil, phew!
One more quick question if you don't mind, the needles on the clock have always been sticking, sort of stick at 2000 then jump to 3000 and so on, they sort of worked, all the rev counter also does it too, does that mean my clock are on the way out? or can I actually take the clock apart and grease it up somehow?
Thanks again mate
