Now this is funny and embarrassing all at the same time    :embarassed:

I took another look this morning to see if i fancied chopping the loom and found that the hellas have a convertor cable like the ones above in VR6-Joe's post already plugged into them, so in other words they have obviously come out of an old car and have the convertors plugged into the lights for the old style wiring.

All i had to do was unplug the convertors and then plug my harness in   

So i now have fully working lights   :embarassed:

However i currently have the bottom bar of the grill off for spraying and no VW badge so the full effect is not in force yet!!
