im sure the standard bosh d/v will fit it as it is used throughout all the 1.8t VAG engines... but the bosh d/v is b******t.. your better of getting a forge 007 recirculating d/v or a forge splitter they are a direct fit .. http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=product&cat=260301&product=FMCL007P http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=product&cat=260301&product=FMDVSPLTR

the pipe which is blocked off will be connected into the recirculating d/v.. will it not??? as the baileys one you have is using the vacum hose (thin one off the top) and the pressure pipe and the air pipe is then blocked?? a recirculating d/v will use all the pipes as same as the standard bosch d/v ...so all you gotta do is remove the bung or whatever you have blocking the pipe... dont really know if i explained it clearly  :undecided:

ok now u lost me

check out these pics ones with baileys type you have ....

this one is with a recirculating d/v

now by the stuff you said you dont have no missing pipe as you can see from the pics the bailey d/v   ( top pic ) has the air pipe blocked off... and in the second pic the recirculating d/v just slots in the air pipe too so no pipe is blocked of using a recirculating d/v thats the only difference... have a close look and let me know if you have any pipes actually missing becuase a very much doubt you have becuase you would of had crazy engine codes up on the dash...

hope this sheds some light on it

Right..sorry if i have confused you, cos im really confused now, cos the d/v on mine is on the other side (driver side)!, so i persume its been put at the wrong place then! Think thats why we both got confused with our discriptions! lol. Will this cause it to run poorly and yes would luv you to come and sort it out for me, but i think i live too far from you..im from Blackpool. Many thanx again for youe help.

too far

the d/v is normally placed at the back of the engine bay as you can see in the pics.. or they are relocated to the front of the engine.. iv never seen it anywhere else on a golf 1.8t so dont know really where to help you mate..

your best bet some how get sum pics up just take come on ur phone then photobucket them and post them up.. dat way be able see whats goin on..

but if ur cars running fine with no error codes and no serious turbo lag then don't see no problem..

Hi..right i hvae just find out something about my car, something i havent checked sinced i bought it! I was told its a AGU engine, so i just tooked his word for it, and just left it at that, but just by curiousity 2nite i had a look, and i found out it says ARZ on it! Have i read it right, or is that a dif design from the AGU ones altogether? Maybe thats why the d/v is located at the dif place. Plz help as this is worrying me all the time! Also whats the dif between the two? thnx
