What cam shaft to fit mk2 gti 8v

I'm going for Kent GS2h cam and ported head in the summer I think
Spoke to Kent at Autosport, they seemed very clued up and a reputable company
Adjustable vernier too for a bit of tinkerage

I have the Kent GS2H cam in mine. Seems to give a nice extra pull. A performance magazine did a review on cams and said the Kent GS2H gave the best results.

yer would pref that cam but cost alot more than the newman as you need the vanier pully

I don't have the vernier pulley with mine.

wasnt getting the timming right a pain and also did you replace the followers evil

Timing was easy enough to do (said my VW specialist mechanic anyway).

I didn't replace the followers or anthing else for that matter. Has run fine for the few years it's been fitted anyway.

din't by chance buy that cam from the pvw forum ?  ages ago


vernier dose help a littel,   some cams are cut  off from original for marketing pourposes.    or if have head skimms ect can slightly affect timeing
