Christ!

Mind you, on private roads it is suprising how quick you can get to 100 without noticing in the GTI

You wanna try 155

Sure these golfs would be good for 170 had they not been restricted

Yeah triple figures do come up quick in the GTI and with it being so smooth sometimes you dont realise espesially if your going with the flow of the traffic.

R32UK: What did you get the 8 points for then, insurance?

On another note how good are speed camera detectors and do they detect the traffic cars?
sorry but my vaux looks far better than the mk5 gti, thats why i bought it  faster too

Sorry mate - no sympathy. Agree with Hurdy. Regardless of the car or personal circumstances, you did it, take the punnishment. Life ain't fair but rules are rules. We all know them.

Check the dictionary for sympathy, somewhere between sh*t and syphilis.

Now let the dust settle and go and get some advanced driving training to eductate you when it is appropriate to get the best out of this car in a mature and responsible way. The GTI was made for it and deserves that

And by the way, I ain't pious, just older and wiser

Have heard some of them are quite good. Someone posted a link on here a couple of months back on one which blocks mobile detectors too (if you accidentally leave your parking sensors on ).

My points were for driving a work van that I wasnt insured to drive. Although as the insurance company put it "your van and contents are insured for upton £5k". Which apparently means that the goods inside the van are insured but Im not insured to drive it. So why would I have a van then?? surely a shed would have been sufficient!

Just the way the insurance company have managed to squirm their way out of it seriously pi$$ed me off... desipte the fact that no incident took place they could have covered me but chose to cover themselves even though I pay them well over £1.5k a year
