Congrats, sounds like you got a sweet deal there!

I think the MMI system works on the RNS510, its worth checking with the dealer to see if it can be done.  If so, you get full iPod control, and you see the track IDs.  I really want this in my MK5!

What you need is what I just installed about 2 weeks ago.

You need:

1 - VW MDI kit
2 - Fiscon Pro Bluetooth kit (Also known as Fiscon Basic Plus)

Look on ebay for good prices esp from sellers in Germany. The kits are both very easy to fit, plug and play. They are both brilliant and I can completely recommend them. The MDI kit allows full touch screen control of your ipod. The Fiscon allows full touch screen integration of your phonebook and all phone functions. If you have the highline computer (which i dont   :undecided:) you can also access your text messages from there. Any questions on either of the kits just let me know.

If your R32 is already coded for a phone then the Fiscon will work immediatley. If not you will need VCDS/VagCom coding for it to work correctly. Its all in the manual and very easy to do. If you dont have someone near you with VCDS/VagCom your dealer can easily enable the phone feature on VCDS.

Sounds like you got yourself a great deal there, I've been tempted to try and get hold of a nearly new R32. Might give a few dealers a call to see what they can do for me.

Look forward to some pictures!

At Brands on Wednesday last week an R32 floored it on the way out and the wind just carried it, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It sounds awesome !

I know what you mean.  I was at a petrol station a couple of days ago and a DSG R32 gave it the beans out the access road...oh my god  If I wasn't saving for my wedding next year I'd have been down to the stealers like a shot.  Suddenly the fuel bills and tax make sense.  I want

I sometimes wish I didnt have to drive mine.. but had to follow it around (strange I know)... but just hearing from outside rather than inside makes a big difference

I have that. I made my girlfriend floor it away to hear it the other day  (she is insured by the way)

Cant wait for the summer so i can drive around with all the windows down (and hopefully have saved for a non-res miltek )
