TIP Fitted - With Pictures (page 2)!
« on: 14 February 2009, 16:10 »
I agree with Rich, this is one of the hardest, most annoying things I've ever done!!!

I could NOT for the life of me connect the new pipe to the turbo, with that stupid pipe in the way.  I had to remove those allen key type screws for the coolant pipes, and got coolant EVERYWHERE!!

I got the new TIP on, and put everything back together again.  I can feel a huge difference, when I put my foot down it blasts through the rev's!!  Igf I floor it I get constant wheel spin too.

I don't know if the above is related to my problem though :( - http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=106006.0

I've been doing mine today, too.  You're right.............................  That bottom part which slips (yeah, right) over the turbo was a right biatch!!  (Remember my AGU TIP has to go over the bigger KO3-S ).

In the end, I sprayed it with some deodarant so it would slip on more easily (then it would evaporate later, you see ;)).  I'm not sure I 've tightened that bottom jubilee up properly, though, so I'm going to get back under tomorrow.

I took it for a run, & initial thoughts were excellent, though there was a couple of 'flat-spot' moments when I was up at 6k revs.  No fault codes before OR after fitment, though?! :undecided:

I don't know if it's just a placebo thing, but I swear it's more than a small difference it makes!
