pls help---------temp sensor poor mpg ......

just done a 100 mile round trip at a constant 75mph and am only getting 42mpg now this is after changign the tempo sender, i didnt know that the 18's on 225's woudl knock as much as 8-9mpg's off thats quite a lot.... i was thinkgin maybe change MAF but i was hoping the new sender woudl sort it out and it has done but only slightly i think my last sender was temperental ... but never thought the wheels wud make such a big difference!!!!

any ideas?

accordign to parkers the

anni 150 tdi still returns 52mpg same as the golf 150

and the anni runs 18 wheels so how coem my mpg was piss poor  when i was just drivign sensibly

oh right suppsoe all test are doen at 56mph but still i used to do 80 and get 52mpg... and now if i do 80 i only 44mpg!!!

what figs do u get on ure 18s at 80

i suppose u always gotto compensate soemwhere and if it mean sloosign 8-9 mpg for the looks ill take it cant beat the grip though even in wet sticks to the road proper nice!

If I drive home at 80 I get about 45ish mpg
your right about the grip

right so @ 80mph = approx 45mpg ... that means theres nothign wrong i.e maf etc and its just normal to loose around 7-8 mpgs then......gutted but u cant beat teh grip and looks ...

i was thinkign of changign maf but if that teh norm then screw it

what was the ambient temperature like?? (outside temp)

in cold weather diesels take a knock on mpg - my last tank over the really cold spell i just scrapped 500 miles from the tank

I noticed an improvement in mpg this week with the slightly warmer weather. I've done just over 1000 miles in the past week and used £110 worth of v-power diesel so not to bad

dunno rhys i think last coipel of days its been quite mild round 5-7 degrees i think
