It won't increase the power of your jets, but I recommend some non-return valves from Halfords

I always thought that would help, but i've tried it and it didnt help! Might have been a cheapo valve, but it did come from a Volvo...

Well mine were pennies from Halfords but seemed to work ok!  Seemed to work better on the fronts than the rears though.

The micra has one of them fitted (somewhere) and they work instantly compared to mine, so i might nick it from one of them! Where did you fit them, close to the bottle, or close to the jet?

itll b close to the bottle jeremy, to hold all the water in the pipe, the closer to the bottle, the less lag before the water wither side of the valve will meet

Cool, i couldnt work that one out, i didnt think it would make a difference! Maybe thats why my rear valve doesnt do anything then?!

What I'm really after is a new jet that will fit in the factory location of the standard MK2 one, preferably a fan spray type.

I remember someone mentioning a Passat one being a good fit - but I might have just made that up.

My standard jets are really powerful. Have you considered new pipes and a new motor??

I think thats probably the route to go down - as mine are major pants! But the wiper motor seems to be giving up the ghost too as its juddering (even on a soaking wet screen) on the slowest setting.

I got a new (2nd hand) wiper mech and I'm wondering if its the right one, it *just* fits in place, seems a spot too short as it was a fight to get the main body through the holes in the windscreen panel.
