after 2 days of panel pulling and filling, im almost done.  ill spray with primer, twice. then a quick wet and dry with some superfine grit. (photos to follow)

so... i brought the amp, its a Directed 404A - rather large. wont be using any sub or anything, just a couple of 6x9. i dont think radio two sounds good coming from a giant bass tube. :nerd:

Q. Fill the rear VW badge + hole, or leave it on?

Coming along nice mate....

Get a 12" sub in there. I've had one in all my cars and you can't beat it. I listen to all sorts of music through it, even modern neoclassical and its like night and day with and without.

I myself am contemplating the rear badge, wiper hole filling. My rear badge had already been filled with half a tin of filler but have removed it all back to bare metal. Looking at images of Mk3's I think i'm going to fill them in although properly with actual metal this time lol. Although i'm still a long way off getting round to it.
