I had the same problem on a corrado G60 i had a few weeks ago (damn i wish i never sold it now)

The timing was out at the dizzy end.

If you are looking to sell your mk2 then feel free to pm me with a price. Ill see what I can do. always wanted a LHD mk2 :smiley:

People keep saying timing, and I will check it out, but I'm unconvinced.
I will be selling the car in due course to make way for a 7esque kitcar or a Porsche 911 to rebuild, but I need to sort out these niggles first and get the thing on the UK register. Thanks for your interest and I will be posting on here first before I advertise it anywhere else. :wink:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

have you checked or replaced the MAP sensor line to the ECU. Has to be exactly 1m in length.
