My old pd has dropped mpg dramatically (10mpg+ ) since the cold weather but it takes about 7 miles  to warm up (normal so it seems from other forums)

Mrs Docs Yeti took pretty much bang on 10 mins to get to 90 degrees C for water and 60 degrees C for the oil, drive consisted of 3 min wait for heated windscreen to clear followed by a 2.8 mile drive in stop start traffic.

Steve

That's not far off what I'm getting on the GTd at the minute

it's in for MOT and brake fluid at the end of the month and have asked them to look at.  It's not been the same since I had the DPF light come on and now it also seems to regenerate more frequently - me thinks they've tweaked it in VCDS.

Having said that, had a good run out yesterday and got near 50 which was a pleasant change.

Hi Buck

I went over to Maidstone yesterday and manged to get 43-44 MPG at 65 MPH its definetly gone down maybe due to winter conditions , cold weather?? :undecided:

Diesels do take a hit MPG wise in the winter months

Normally I get 52-55mpg en route to work but thats hovering around the 50mpg mark. Upside is the car feels a bit more punchy so perhaps Im playing with it a bit too much

Thanks Doc,
The old PD takes about 15mins ~6 miles before the climate control heater even starts to work.
