goldenflute: How awful.
Unfortunately, the Golf is the most stolen car in the UK .... OFFICIAL.
Approximately, where in the country was your car parked?
it was north west London stolen on a sunny bank hol monday at 3.30pm in the afternoon. I live in a quite residential street - apparantly none of my neighbours saw someguy break in through the front door - leaving it open on exit and driving off with the car from my driveway!! Hey ho - thats life and there could be worse things!!

Ah, another Lowndoner. Not many of us posting on this forum. Most here are from the wild wastes of the North where boys are men and men are machines. As for the laydies, they are loverly wherever the come from.

Be nice if you could as you could sell them on or keep them for spares. I should imagine that the garage will make out that they need to keep them for insurance purposes and then they will sell them on.

The body shop have replaced all wheels and tyres, brake discs and pads as a matter of course after my car was stolen, the old ones have very slight marks on two of them.
