KR would require the same work as you outlined with the ABF but with the added faff of having to get the headgasket done.
Then you need to figure out how you are going to run KR on your existing ABF management.
You are posing the question is it possible to fit a KR with ABF management? Yes.
Is it pointful to fit a KR with ABF management? No.

You'll just end up pulling it out in a few months anyway or trying to sell it on with a bodged hybrid KR/ABF

 TBH honest, to me, it's a no brainer wait for an ABF.

Or if you insist, I can sell you my 115k KR with a brand new VAG waterpump/ cambelt + all the other important new bits for 300.00

lol i phoned him up last week and he told me he said he sold 1 just over a month ago.......that would be you then!!!!!!!!lol

well im now on the hunt for an ABF engine gonna get on with the rest of the car as i have plenty to keep me busy like putting the heater matrix back in and finish cleaning the interior then re-fitting the carpets and seats then star on cleaning and freeing off the brakes sort out the bottom arms etc so plenty to do wile i wait for a engine to come up.........plus can drop the seized lump out to......
