Rhyso, why 130 over 150, in your opinion?

You could get a nice MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T for that money. Doubt you'd find a PD130 for under £4,000 though; that would be my second choice mind.

no real reason although the 130 is a little less laggy due to the smaller turbo  :nerd: but then the 150 is stronger top end - a remap sorts out that problem though :afro:

all depends if you want to tune it as the 150 has the front mounted intercooler but the boost pipes are a terrible design

After a re-map isn't the 150 going toh ave more power than the re-mapped 130?  Or does it not work that way?

Sorry, thread hijack!  Either the 1.8T or a TDI would be cracking choices mate

yes

my 150 made around 190 bhp after its superchips remap, a healthy 130 should see between 170 and 180 but wont make as much torque as the 150 either, still bloody good tho!! although i find it all comes in a bit quick (the power )

Im sure the fuel pump and injectors on the 150 are uprated over the 130 version model aswell?

don't think so mate - the engine is pretty much identical apart from the turbo and the intercooler  :undecided:

not what i was told, although i was talking about my 115 which rechipped puts about 145bhp out...I was offered the larger turbo and intercooler and thought straight bolt on and at £1500 for brand new i wasn't about to ask questions but then got told injectors were def and somehting else but can't remember what :embarassed:
