Standard Mk4 Front Speakers

Howdy,

Quite some time ago some water somehow got into my front passenger speaker and it is now well and truely fubared. I cannot seem to find standard golf speakers anywhere! Am I missing something? Are they uberexpensive?

I'm also wondering if anyone knows of any non-standard speakers that look extremely similar to the standard ones so as not to lose the OEM look of the interior?

pretty much any 6.5"/17cm components fit but you will need the speaker adaptors to fit new speakers as the originals are a moulded unit that is riveted to the door

as for ruining the oem look you have to remove the doorcards to fit them so the car would still look standard
just be careful when buying new speakers that the tweeter will need to be very slim as there is not a lot of room behind the factory trim
