Have any of you ever seen an R32 with red stiching on the leather seats????...I searched autotrader today and there was an 08 red r32, manual, for 16.9k. I called, it was sold already  never seen one with red stitching in the leather......apparently it was a demo of the VW dealer in Huddersfield...its NOT an import.

They were taken over recently and the new owner slashed prices all over the place.

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

Well had my R32 just over a month now and going back to the topic I am averaging 22.4 mpg, which is mainly motorway miles. This is less than I was hoping for but I am loving the car soooo much! And petrol has come down so costs just over £40 to fill her up!

That is a little low tbh. I tried sticking to about 70-80 over a 2hr journey and still get 31-33mpg!

That sounds about right.  My engine is still very very tight so uses more fuel, but I'd expect those figures after 10k miles.

Going a little bit off topic but since getting my car remapped I have noticed a big drop in motorway MPG. Doing 80 or so I now get 32-33 where as before I was easily gettin 37-38. Town driving and the like is the same and I regualrly get 30 on my way into work and thats with a bit of traffic. Anyone else seen their motorway MPG suffer after a remap?

My mpg changed after my Stage 1 Revo remap.   I got 35mpg on my Edition 30 regularly after that as I found that I could be very gentle on the throttle and still cruise at 70-80mph.  Before the remap I would get 32-33mpg.   No disrespect to RTech as I have only heard very good things about them, but this is one reason why I stuck to an established tuner like Revo.  I don't trust the figures after the Stage 2 remap as I had an aftermarket fuel pump installed which might distort the readings.

yes thats virtually what im getting and have got on all 3 same models, igot 1500 miles on mine aswell  :nerd: from my experience r32 should get a fair bit better with a few more 1000's on. P.s this r32 i got now feels quicker than my previous one and nowhere near loosened up yet, did they update power at all to 265bhp at the same time as the audi a4 3.2 ?
GTI manual PP, now sold  :-(

Just got mine back from 1st service and it feels totally different! Much smoother and dare I say much faster too. I know for a fact that if this were my car to keep then I would definately have the servicing switched to time and distance rather than longlife.

Esp as the service light first came on at about 11k miles (dealer had it on wrong setting) but I have just had it serviced at 21k.

Not too sure about the 265ps thing... but I have heard a few rumours :lipsrsealed:

My 07 Mk5 GTi does about 30mpg on the motorway and about 25ish round town.  I've never been too impressed with my MPG to be honest, but I'm not really that  bothered.  I had a 3.2 TT before that and it actually was a similar economy.  Only bonus is now, with a tank down to about £46 for Super then its not hitting the pocket as much.

I nearly bought a brand new R32 from a VW dealer the other day, but the part ex they offered on mine was an insult to say the least.  So I had to walk away.  I was in having a replacement stereo fitted and their was this DBP model in there....wow...I'd have sold the wife ;-)

I'm am gonna stick my GTi up for sale in the next few days, as I have a new job which will mean higher miles (than my current 25k a year) so thinking about changing for a diesel.  Gonna break my heart...:-(  Car market is pretty crap at the moment though.

These stealers really need to start to get real in the current climate, they cannot continue to squeeze money out of the trade-in's and make a huge profit on the car they are selling (particularly when it is a nearly new second hand car...which they have also screwed money from the previous seller on ).

Wh|t3R@bb|t if you sold your car to that stealing robbing barsteward..what sticky white digits do you think they would have put on your car on the forecourt?

I have had my eyes on an R32 up here for a while..dickhead wants to make 3k on my car and at least 4k on the one I want to buy....7k (ish)....now...come on...give me what i want, and I will pay you my car plus 5k? No....says the dealer,....i will just keep this car on the forecourt and let it depreciate further and eventually have to stick it into the auction house.

They will get what is coming to them big style and I for one will probably not stop laughing.
