seems to me Phil you want quote official figures when it suits you(bhp) and unofficial other times(performance figures) not sure you can have it both ways.

I had a run against an R32 in my ED30 in damp conditions and I couldn't live with it at all, but when we got up onto the m/way it was a different story  did sound mint though.

I think the R32's are crackin value for money at the minute, don't stop the GTi's being crackin cars though

Are you trying to dangle a juicy worm in front of me Gaz???? sorry im not hungry

Im not getting involved like you want me too, i know which is better in the Real world but your just have to use your imagination

Ditto! It was a very close call for me, but the R just pipped it. But different strokes for different folks and all that.

Personally the appeal of the r32 to me was destroyed when they changed the wheels, made it look like a v average car. I know it's easily changeable but it would have been another expense and personally I like my cars to have a factory look.

Talking about mine

The Zolders were supposed to be a total nightmare to clean...  :nerd:

I dont actually mind the wheels tbh. The only time I see them is when I get out. I did think about removing the centre caps which make them look alot nicer... but couldnt be ar$ed in the end

The zolders are a nightmare to clean....and I rarely get above 300 miles to the tank these days...well since i fell out with my Revo dealer and got them to remove stage one that is......  I am sure the bar stewards screwed the settings to mess with me.

So I have the wheels that are hard to clean AND the crap economy and none of the lovely sound track.... two of the reasons why I actually want an r32 just now.

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)
