i tried many things to find this fault.. it never came up on the scanner before either..
i replaced both relays..
anyhow recently have been driving (mainly while on the motorway, longish journeys) and the car would just start to splutter/die. i would let off the throttle for a moment and then plant the foot back on and it would go..
so was looking under the bonnet today to look for vacuum leaks.. i found that the pipe for the manifold to FPR was a bit rotten and also the manifold to MAP sensor pipe was also looking poor.. so on the way home i popped into halfords and bought some vacuum hose.
when i got home i plugged in the scanner to see what i could find..
IT CAME UP WITH: 00519 Manifold Absolute pressure SNS - G71 NO signal, intermittant fault.
now i am hoping to god that the ECU isnt cupoot.. i am hoping it was the fact that the vacuum hoses were perished and the problem is fixed..
fingers crossed eh?..
anybody else come across this problem?... cheers, jamie.
