Make sure you demonstrate the condition of the car before you give it in and get them to sign to confirm.

Otherwise you'll end up with mysterious marks and dents on your boot and bonnet, and gouged out alloys! :embarassed:

Im guessing you had a bad experience???

No but if you read the other threads, it seems like everyone else has.

I haven't yet had a chance to go back to my original dealer.

Well i went to the dealer today and he explained that the corrosion was not covered under the warranty and that it would cost £70 + Fitting + VAT for the rear VW boot badge as they need to refit the whole mechanism!!! The wheel cap center's costing £4.50 each which im going to let them do but im not happy about the boot badge!!! Any suggestions of anybody of where i could get this done cheaper???

Im also due a service in Jan which will be a major one at £300 and a new timing belt costing £290 so looks like my remap will be put back again!!!

Not happy.

Mark.

Funny you should say that they wont cover the cost of the badges cos when I was at the dealers earlier today that was one thing they said they would cover is any corroding badges!!

Ahhhh mine is not even 2 years old yet, they will only honour warranty for the first 3 years if its a UK car.

Depends how far you took the enquiry with them, but take a chance and go elsewhere, what have you got to lose?
