Happy to read your feedback so don't go thinking you look bad for doing so.

I think the 'culture' comments and this whole them and us attitude is bizarre. Both forums have so many members, that to the majority this makes pretty much no sense at all. Some people will like one forum more than another, personally there exists no form of rivalry whatsoever. This isn't a competition, if people don't like one forum, don't use it. I have always liked and tried to encourage a very laid back chilled out approach on here. It doesn't always work. I don't post a lot of personal opinion because I just don't think it's worth it - I couldn't care less about fog light grilles etc where as some people take that whole product evaluation type stuff very seriously. Same with the advertising side of things, people approach me about stuff at times, sometimes we work out something, it's not a big deal to me, the forum is still a form of 'fun', the day it loses that is when I call it a day with this 'hobby' :)

I think you're mistaking one person on the forum having a dig at you for 'being discussed at length' as you put it, because sorry chap but I've no idea who you are

Suprised this hasnt been shifted to off topic if im honest

..yawn.

well, rules is rules like you pointed out previously

Not aimed at anyone in particular.

Ignore the convoluted story, it was necessary to give background as to why I was posting. It’s simply about the different cultures of here and “the dark” side and the impression you’ve given me as a new user.

I haven’t come for pity or to carry on a fight – I just wanted to discuss your culture and see why it was ok for people to slag off UK-MKIVs and its users, when we’ve never done anything like that to you.

As far as I was concerned the grilles thread was done and dusted, everyone gave as good as they got. Some people had the good grace to leave it as that, some didn’t. I just felt it reflected badly on your forum. Previous threads, rantings and personal abuse have likewise left an impression on other people & companies too.

The difference is I’ve come on here and tried to discuss it, I’ve made myself look like a right knob for doing so – but so be it. I don’t feel I have been unconstructive with my feedback and I haven’t tried to get anyone’s back up. I’ve read the abuse in this thread from some of your more eloquent users that has been left to stand and frankly it backs up my thoughts.

Mike no one has been slating your forum at all  TT posted that thread and asked what do we think and thats it i can honestly say the darkside never gets mentioned here we are to full of our selves to be worrying about you and your members.
Now Raven posted this thread in chat nonsense thats why quite a few people came on who know nothing about the background to your plight.
The last line of your post above leaves me thinking you are trying to draw more negative response so as to try and prove yourself right. Honestly i think its only you who knows what it is you are trying to achieve. I certainly dont.  :undecided:

I don't have a vested interest in either forum (R32OC till I die!) but I have had a run in with T_T. He's obviously a knowledgeable guy but the problem is that a lot of his posts are written as cast iron facts which isn't always the case. TIP: Inform him that the Haldex can shift more than 50% to the rear if you want to induce a nervous breakdown

I agree sometimes TT can be a bit full on and his word is fact even if you have personal experience to prove otherwise and he can dominate a thread to a point you can't be ar5ed posting in it.
There is no doubt he is a knowledgeable chap and is info is a really valuable asset to the forum.
