New tyres - Pulling to the right
«
on:

Just had the front tyres changed at 20k (Continental SportContact 2 ) However almost straight away after this, the car is pulling to the right - I've checked the tyre pressures and they are both at 34
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Did you stay with the car when fitting and also who did the fitting.

Worn road surface, ie heavy goods slow lane???, or likes been said , get the Tracking checked out , return it to the Garage who replaced the rubber.
They have put the wheels back on the correct side by any chance??

should be no more than £20 - most places do a check for free and then charge if it needs to be done

I had exactly the same problem, only I had changed just one front tyre after pot hole damaged the original. The car pulled noticeably under acceleration. I eventually swapped the rears to the front and that solved it.

Are the new tyres both from the same batch? It is not unknown for different batches to have small differences in the rubber compound - either through manufacturing tollerances or just down to ageing.
Swap the front wheels left to right, and see if it pulls in the oposite direction.

I guess they might be, I think the tyres are rotational, would it still be ok to swop the 2 front tyres around?
Just had a full geometry check and it's still pulling to the right!
Thanks for your help!

I had my tyres changed on Friday and when I gave it the beans yesterday in second there was a definate pull towards the right. Didn't get the chance to replicate the problem to see if it was the road surface to blame. Am getting the alignment checked at the end of this week (last set of tyres were badly worn on the inside) so hopefully will sort it.
Other than this issue which I hope is nothing to do with the actual tyres - Falken FK452's are fantastic. The grip cornering wet and dry has transformed the car, and made it quieter too. Was running dunlop sport maxx previously and thought they were decent but in comparision they are a load of shyte.
