cant remember off the top of my head but i think its the e box in the engine bay

just to say when we vag com'd it we got the code 19558 - Motor for Intake Manifold Flap (157), so i guess you was correct  :cool: , we also got  17075 - Fan 1 Control Circuit: Short to GND which i guess is due to the blown fuse also ?

yer that is due to the blown fuse which supplys feed to both parts. the flap aint cheap either sit down when you as for a price!!!!!

its not mine mate, and i think we figured out its going to be about £300 for the part

nah its a 2004, is there anyway he can clean it ?, also he's still not overly sure where its actually located, you dont know where it is do you ?

yer when you open the bonnet take the engine cover off and you can see the intake turbo hose infront of the cooling fans its the unit that the turbo hose clips into. i have not tryed cleaning one but i suppose you can try whats he got to lose.

FYI you wont be able to clear the fault without fixing whats wrong. The fault will clear and the light will go off but as soon as it sees the fault again (which it will do as the fault is still there) the light will come back on.

yeh, where just trying to find the part cheaper, as its about £300 !! LOL
