Engine warning light ?

Mate has a golf diesel (06 ish i think) and he says his engine warning light (im guessing emissions) is on, anyone care to guess whats up with it

oh and will vag com help figure it out

Nine times out of ten it's a lambda or exhaust gas related sensor.......  :huh:

yeh, thats what i guessed too, anyway just to turn the light off ?

VCDS should help to narrow down the fault !
You can try clearing it inVCDS but if it's a bad sensor the fault would re-appear.
Without traction power is nothing!

You can try clearing it inVCDS but if it's a bad sensor the fault would re-appear.

cheers, do we know where to clear it, i guess under 01Engine , if it wont clear how can he make it go away without fixing it LOL (dont ask)

LOL yeh i wouldnt be buying a blue golf diesel any time soon  (ps its going to a dealer)

Yes you should be able to clear it under engine>Fault codes.
Without traction power is nothing!

the problem will be air intake flap motor v159 take the air intake pipe off at the front of the engine and the falp will be seized and aslo the fuse will be blown. co.mmon fault on the mk 5 golf diesels
