I've phoned Justing this morning and he says that the people supplying their badges will obviously be fine with fitment. For those not supplying their badge he says he can only get the newer Edition 30 style badge. Neither of us knew for sure how many variations of the rear badge there are, but the Edition 30 one is already on revision D

What Justin has said is that he is willing to supply the rear lock mechanism for those who have problems with re-fitting their badges and so everyone should eventually get a badge that fits

So don't worry guys

Does that mean you will have to pay an additional £70 or so for the mechanism if the fitment is incorrect as I somehow doubt that the TTShop will absorb £70 for the rear lock mechanism on badges worth £58.

Without traction power is nothing!

Justin said he'd be willing to sort something out between individuals. If you want to give him a bell yourself I'm sure he would let you know details. I think he is hoping that everything goes smoothly and no-one will need the mechanisms.

Just to clarify, are we all in agreement that its only the rear badges that vary and the fronts are the same regardless of age and GTI or ED30?

I was under the impression that we all had to supply the rears anyway because TT couldn't source just the 'chrome VW'? Therefore no one should be needing to get a new rear supplied anyway, thus avoiding any problems... assuming we all label them as our own! Or am I just in a confused mess? (Entirely possible!)
