Ok as today was the day I was supposed to be getting my car back I felt like a kid at xmas. Got a call to day that it was all done, just getting a valet and would be ready for collection within the hour. Smashing stuff... just the small point of a £500 excess to be paid + vat???
Phoned insurance company to ask what the hell was going on. I was told that the excess would be waved but I would have to pay the VAT as when asked what I do I said im self employed??? wtf?? I told them I wasnt, so they said I wouldnt have to pay it. Dont know what that was all about.. but a little white lie never hurt anyone. Any idea how that works anyone??
Car brought round. Immediately noticed that it was dirty, with polish stuck in every possible place. The the list of problems..
1. New rear door has a small dent in it. A brand new door this was supposed to be. Acknowledged by dealer.
2. Rear door not lined up at top. Again acknowledged
3. Rear door not lined up at bottom. Again acknowledged
4. Side spolier didnt sit flush with the rear arch. After being told "thats how it is" I showed him the other side. :huh:Again acknowledged
5. Scratch on boot lid. Again acknowledged, said it would polish out (was told they would polish the whole car anyway!)
6. Nice paper placed in footwell... all pedals filthy. Again acknowledged
7. Inside if rear door panel damaged. Only noticed after wards.
