well the original "Why are some threads being moved?" thread has been deleted and locked by topher.

....He could so easily have just locked it and hence still allowed it to be read and digested. Or even moved it to Nonsense! But others have been denied the benefit of its contents. In my opinion it was a great thread giving everyone the opportunity to share and even change/modify their views and for all to benefit.

topher has a problem.

who knows what.

And it shows.

Get a grip mod.

Now Now Nosh. Behave.

Topher couldn't get his point across that we (I include myself as I am just as guilty sometimes) have been posting irrelevant threads to the MKV section.

Threads were moved, people over reacted and here we are after midnight debating it!! on the FOURTH thread.

If us moderators had moved them one at a time over a period of a week, no-one would have really noticed (as has happened in the past)

exactly (red robin) and by deleting it is censorship, they were some very good arguments, esp by 08micsta.

Well, we all make mistakes but what happens next will reflect the true character.

I disagree Robin about it being a useful thread, too many people taking a very small matter the wrong way and turning it into some giant conspiracy which serves no purpose other than to exacerbate things... and towards the end it was just nonsense. It did however serve the purpose I planned for it.

As Hurdy says it was done all in one go, to really nail it home. Subtlety doesn't work here.

If you have had a post deleted and you are not happy about it, feel free to contact an admin and/or global moderator to ask why. Do not start another topic to complain as that will clearly get removed as well.

In simple terms, the question was answered. Everyone has had a rant and relating threads will be gone by the morning.

censorship is not on, and even hurdy just deleted his last post, as it wasnt in line with what topher wrote!

Deleted mine as I was answering someone else and Toph got his post in first, which then made mine look like I was answering his!

I merely was saying that I delete as a last resort and would rather move or lock.

OK topher, now you've bothered to explain, your action is much more understandable and helps restore some respect for your actions.

However, as we have learnt something by this, perhaps you might learn that a little diplomacy and communication goes a long way. You raised people's backs by a complete lack of subtlety - You gain more with honey than with vinegar.

I wish you a good night and doubtless this thread will be gone when we wake up.

These guys had a winner on their hands, like google or facebook.
Now they just have a sorry bunch of disaffected posters, like icebank
