I was shocked when I read this!  I would go off my head if someone gave my details, especially to a person you have had an altercation with!! I would be seeking some legal advice to make the dealers learn a lesson. They have made a serious mistake here which could seriously damage their reputation, make sure you let them know it!

I agree with the majority - you might be ok with it but it could have been a lot worse, what if your car has got damaged or even worse they paid you a visit at home!   There are some nutters out there

What they are offering is your a free labour more or less - not that great!

This is a criminal offence under the Data Protection Act. I'd be fecking fuming and would be seeking legal advice as well as reporting it to the Police (for what good it would do ), but you may well be a victim of crime in the near future.

Do NOT accept the offer - get on to What Car mag or Top Gear as well and get some proper exposure. Do NOT capitulate and sue the arse of the feckers. I'd want some serious compensation and a sacking

Is there form for other similar 'easy' payouts? Seems very easy to jump on the 'screw them for everything' bandwagon when is it really possible/realistic etc? Could you find out the same on 192? Or did someone make an honest mistake and they are just trying to offer a decent solution? Not deliberately stirring this up by any means but the internet blame and hate is all so easy.
