I agree, who is working in "Passport Control" Don't the "bloody foreigners" need a visa to visit this part of the world?

maybe, but I do not own Leon (and never will)
besides, you could just as well have said "you need to take a look in the Lada"

....

Makes us Mk5 owners feel really good doesn't it! :finger:

The design evolution of anything always involves a very critical assessment followed by best attempts to improve. It's a never ending process.

It was Snoopy who flagged that this dissing of the outgoing model would happen.
Maybe i just read the wrong link (reading multiple posts at once is not good for you lol) but i don't see anything there that states anything new. I have been bleeting on about how messed up VW departments are since the late 90s. I have pointed out how as an engineer i can understand how tthe engineers got carried away with over designing some things without taking into acount production time to perfect it, Engineers need to be overseen or they go off on one and don't look at the bigger picture (door design / hindge is a real disaster on the mk5 for this, i still wonder what they were thinking). As well as many other points brought up on here and elsewere we ALL know about. We all know the design issues with the mk5.

just didnt like any of the other hot hatches out there, looked at the focus, golf, civic, but for the cash i felt the astra was the best buy,(just love the look of the sport hatch) got it with 19" wheels, pearl blue paint, bi-xenon head lights and a few other bits and bobs, just great fun to drive, very rapid. Might only keep it a year or so, still fancy an S3 or even an RS, will be test driving that too.
