Agree with the upcoming RS, especially in that green colour they promo'd.

S3 to plain looking for my liking. Did you try the (Nurhberg) version VXR  (I so can spell it). Lighter version and ment to be faster??

yeah had a test drive, i liked it (exhaust sounds sweet) but just didnt like the white paint, the wheels look really cheap and the graphics look a bit gash, also wanted the bigger wheels and xenon's head lights, think the vxr looks best in blue so just went for that.

will be getting a re-map and zorst anyway.

the burg isnt lighter, just has white wheels, full exhaust with sport cat and leather as standard

I followed one today from dual carriageway to the motorway today, they sound really nice, and had a good play   , matched me for performance but my gear changes kept me gaining through the gears.

To keep this one forum topic , the steering wheel in the mk6 looks like theyve robbed it out of the Astra!

just didnt like any of the other hot hatches out there, looked at the focus, golf, civic, but for the cash i felt the astra was the best buy,(just love the look of the sport hatch) got it with 19" wheels, pearl blue paint, bi-xenon head lights and a few other bits and bobs, just great fun to drive, very rapid. Might only keep it a year or so, still fancy an S3 or even an RS, will be test driving that too.

....The VXR blue looks fabulous! Vauxhall have improved them since the early models. At least the steering wheel suits the VXR whereas the new Mk6 GTI wheel would look more at home in the VXR!

crappy plastic - you need to take a look in the mk2 Leon!

maybe, but I do not own Leon (and never will)
besides, you could just as well have said "you need to take a look in the Lada"

Was more referring to the differences between mk1 and mk2 - being in the vag group.

whats the bet there are same/similar issues with the mk6?

e.g water above door gathering

rusting bells & discs?!

Im sorry to disappoint you cookie but the water still pi55es in! Was in Berlin Thurs and Friday this week driving the MK6 and can confirm it is very good! (apart from the waterfall at the first corner! which actually seemed worse than the MK5!)
Drove a 1.4 TSI with the 7 speed DSG and it was very quiet and powerful at the same time. Very impressive. The ride was quite hard although it was running on 18's. Also got a look at a beautiful MK6 GTI  And it looked amazing in the flesh!! When it drove out in front of me the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I went cold!! Trust me guys, this car looks the nuts in the metal!!
