Just get a new lift pump from GSF they are £30

it'll just be the pump though so you'll have to pop the old one off the fuel sender assembly and swap it

New fuel pump from GFS has been fitted and the Golf is running sweet as a nut

Glad you bought a new one. Bad idea fitting second hand in-tank fuel pumps.
