cheers paul do have any idea how the black facia comes away from the bolb housing to cheak the bolb

No sorry mine went in the bin ages ago. I just remember that it did come apart.

got it apart but how do i no if the bulbs blown or how do i test it

Use a multimeter on continuity test, or make your own.

Connect a torch type bulb to a battery and make sure it lights up. Then break the circuit and connect it through the bulb in the airbag unit. If you get torch bulb lit your airbag bulb is ok. If not then its blown.

Test it on the abs bulb too to make sure you get the correct result and not some sort of anomoly.

my car passed MOT with airbag light on! :smiley: I removed my steering wheel and thats why it came on constant, i belive VAGcom is supposed to clear it :smiley:
