The drag guy (paul 1320minis) ran his cooper s with a 100 shot of nitrous and got a 12.6 @115
He's a very talented drag racer.
Im going down to the saturday night special rwyb at santa pod on saturday 11th oct. Going to let him drive the car to see what he can get out of it

1 x 13.4 and 4 x 13.5 all at 107+mph.. My 60ft times were a good 3/10th off last time though. Getting new boots this week. Still nearly 15k out of a front set isn't bad..

Awesome times mate. I need to get the full milltek sorted. With the ambient temps being so high yesterday, i think i could of benefited with an s3 intercooler. Any idea how much it would cost inc fitting?

Yeah it was bloody warm on sat too. Looking forward to running at night on 11th Oct. Should see some nice cool intake temps and good times hopefully..
Cost for what mate, exhaust or IC?
Full Milltek is around £1k and IC is around £200-300 IIRC (that's not fitted though). DJhorace is the best person to ask as he has one on his Cupra..

The intercooler. If i can get it all done for around £500-550 i'll get it done. Milltek cat back is going on wednesday and hopefully the downpipe before santa pod.

If you know someone who works for VAG or go to a stealer that does a good discount for whatever reason (forums etc), you will get an S3 intercooler for just under £300. They are fitted reasonably easily, but I believe that garages who have done a few can do it in 2 hours now, same as we did after our 2nd one.

2 hours at garage rate may be £100.

Milltek is gonna cost about £1k, but you may get another brand for less by now as a few companies have their model available too.

The S3 intercooler drops inlet temps by approx 20%, and gives a couple psi more boost on spool than with the OEM intercooler.

Edit: If you get a garage to do it, make sure they have done a few already as you learn a lot from the first one. Things like the screws/bolts for the ends of the core are different and you should have these available before you start. Knowing where all the screws that hold the bumper on is another thing, and getting the core pipes clipped on properly is fiddly too. Our first one took 5 hours including sourcing bolts, and the 2nd one 2 hours.

Thanks for that. Do you have the part numbers?
I have a mate who works for vw, do you think he could get hold of one?
I was thinking of getting it fitted at awesome, im sure they can do it.
As for the exhaust, ive decided on the milltek and paid for the catback already, i just need to get some more money together to get the intercooler and downpipe bought and fitted at the same time
Will leave the engine mods then and maybe get some coilovers and some decent pads or leon cupra brakes.

Not to hand, but the intercooler is here

http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/tfsiintercoolers.htm

If you want to get the best possible 1/4 mile time though, get a decent intake sorted and an upgraded fuel pump too, lose any excess weight from the car like spare wheels, jacks, juice bottles, full tank of screen wash, make sure you use good fuel (and dont have a full tank of it), tyres should be inflated properly etc etc.

Shall be going for it on the 11th that's for sure.. Got a 'Full Road Trim' time, so will be lobbing back seats out and she'll be wearing some new boots, all serviced up and ready to rumble.. Hopefully it'll be nice and cool too. Would love to take a 12 sec 1/4 back with me..

Im running the itg panel filter at the minute and always use vpower or tesco 99. Wheels are lighter thank stock too. Will run with less fuel next time lol.
Need to get decent 60ft and figure out where the best shift points are.
Thanks for the link, i will order the intercooler in the next few days.
