Ran my ed30 at santa pod today

Went down to the ultimate bmw show today to watch and to meet up with a few mates from the mini forum i was part of. Wasnt allowed to sign on as it was bmw's only. I expected this but in the afternoon they announced that non bmw owners could run their cars. I went to sign on straight away and took my car to the start line. It was my first time running at a drag strip so i was a little nervous. Did 7 runs in total and the funny thing is that my first one was the quickest.
I ran a 14.02 @104.77mph.
Mods on the car are revo stage one and itg panel filter.
Car is at 4k miles and i also had 3/4 tank of fuel in so i think i could shave one or two tenths off that time
If anyone hasnt been up the strip then i suggest you do, it was awesome

I just knew you'd run mate..  It happens quite a bit at shows where they let other marques run..
I (obviously) couldn't get today, as I went yesterday instead.. Wasn't going to run as tyres are shot, but couldn't resist as it's a right blast regardless of times..
What were your full figures off you slip mate, just to compare.. (60ft, 1/8 mile etc). Definate room for improvement with that terminal mate.. Nice one!

My mate saw you run yesterday, he was very impressed. He is the mini drag specialist. He was helping setup another customers car which was a light blue one with black wheels. It ran a 13.5 on sat and ran 13.404 today @105.6. Did you see it?

What's the average that a normal (original ) GTI would run standard in the quarter?

Depends if DSG or manaul I suppose. But I would say low 15's as a ball park fig..
