Cool, not too bad then. Fuel economy and running costs don't bother me so much, after running a Megane 225 for 2 years, these things seem like pushbikes (cost wise not performance wise!!).
My car is only for occasional use (when the weather is too minging for my motorbike), so will only cover about 4k a year. The Megane is being sold, so the golf will be a daily driver for a little while when it's gone and we find a replacement (wifes current favs are a RAV4 or a MK4 golf). Then it's back to tinkering and occasional use!
