is there such a thing as a 1.8 vw engine that's not fuel injected? wondering what the seller means by 1800 conversion... ???

yep, the scirocco had a 1.8 carbed lump, as did the Golf GL (certainly later models).  to the best of my knowledge its indentical to the GTI, minus injection.

Oh dear, looks like it needs some cash spent on it. I know a good B&B you can use until the misses cools down! ;D

cars always look deceptively better in photos than in real life - mines proof of that  ;D

lets just hope the shell is fairly solid - a good starting point always helps  :D

WHAT ARE YOU LIKE !!!  ;D

And come on what's this accidental business - you know you wanted it really or you wouldn't have bid ;)

You got somewhere to keep it too?

We'll see ... and if your stuck for a hand with the Mk1 (and it's driveable) I don't mind helping out, so give me a shout!
